The 2021 Commander’s Classic was the first
college football game at Globe Life Field. It featured the Army-Air Force
football game, with Air Force as the home team. The Grannemann family hosted a
’61 group for the game. Army won the close game in overtime.
Rod has graciously agreed to host another Class get together
for the 2022 game. Army will be the home team for the return meeting on
November 5, 2022. The current plan is for a Class dinner Friday, game Saturday
AM, Class dinner Saturday PM, and maybe a Sunday brunch. There is a Class hotel
for the event.
SEATING
For the Class there three ticket/seating
options: 1) Join other classmates in a Private Suite; 2) Join other
classmates in a ‘61 Block of seats in stadium seating; 3) Sit with
who you want/where you want in Individual Seating.
Ticket Option 1 – Private Suite

One of the ticket options offered for the
game is a private suite like the one the Class had for last year’s game. This
option is now confirmed and the suite is reserved for the ’61 group. Currently,
there are a few more requesting this option than can be accommodated. Those
that responded in the first survey that they were a Yes for attending the game
and a Yes for the Private Suite are now confirmed for Private Suite tickets for
themselves and their guests. Those that responded in the first survey either
that they were a Yes for attending and a Maybe for the Private Suite or those
that indicated a Maybe for attending and a Yes for the Private Suite are
currently on a wait list for the tickets for the Private Suite. Priority on the
Wait List is based on the time stamp of the response to the first survey. New
respondents indicating a Yes for attending can request Private Suite tickets.
They will be placed on the waiting list for suite tickets with a priority based
on the time stamp of their current submission.
Cost per ticket is $448.83, not including food, beverages, or parking. Rod will have the tickets for this option
and will give those to you when you arrive in TX. Full payment for tickets must
be paid to Rod NLT 1 Jul. Generous tips welcome. Mail payment to:
Rod Grannemann
841 Clear Fork Drive
Lantana, TX 76226
Cost for food, beverages, and parking will
be determined later and provided to you at the game. You can pay for those while
in town for the game.
The suite is a super option. Great view of
the game from deluxe stadium type seats. Big screen monitors for close ups and
replays. Plenty of room to gather and talk. Hi top table for eating and
drinking. Easy chairs for relaxing. All you can eat and drink. A first class
operation. This option includes an entrance ticket. Here is what the stadium
folks have to say about the suite.
The Legacy Suites feature more space for entertaining and a more luxurious
interior finish to create a superior experience for your guests. Located on the
Lower Concourse in The TX District, these suites are designed to give you spaces
for rich interaction and memorable shared experiences — and staged to let you
move through each effortlessly.
Step toward the field and marvel at the view as the diamond unfolds before you.
Grab one of the seats in the two rows outside your suite, where you and your
guests can take in the game – and be closer to it. Suites at Globe Life Field
are the closest to home plate in the league.
Enter the suite and you’ll be in the lounge space, purposefully designed for
conversation. Catch up with loved ones. Close the deal. Cheer our team. Whatever
your game day needs, this space is created for private and uninterrupted
interaction.
Glide through the lounge and enter the dining area, where your array of food and
beverage awaits. Grab something tasty from the serving area or the kitchen
fridge. Enjoy it where you’d like – you can configure this space however you’d
like.
Ticket Option 2 – ’61 Block
The second option is to join other classmates in a ‘61 Block of
seats in stadium seating. If there are enough that select this option,
Rod will get a block of seats for the Class. The block will be located in the
Plaza West section that is shown on the stadium seating chart below. These are
excellent seats located mid-field and at an excellent height above the field for
viewing the game.
Rod will purchase the tickets for this option and you will pay him for
the tickets. You can pick them up when you arrive for the game. The discounted
price for these tickets is $158 plus tax and fee. Rod will confirm the full
price as soon as it is available from his stadium POC. You must confirm your
request NLT 1 June and pay him for your tickets NLT 1 July. Generous tips
welcome. Mail payment to:

Lantana, TX 76226

Ticket Option 3 – Individual Seating
The third option is to sit with who you want/where you want in
Individual Seating. If you select this option, you should find out who else wants to sit in the same
section with you and order tickets for your group directly from the Army
football ticket office.
West Point has blocks of seats in different sections on the Army side of
the field and in the end zone. Here is the link to the seating chart that shows
the seats available and below is a copy of the chart. Prices for tickets in each of these
sections are shown on the seating chart.
