It is with great regret and sorrow that I must notify you of the death of our classmate, Gus Stiehl, on February 2, 2024, in Sun City West, AZ. /p>

Gus is survived by his wife, Charlotte; Michael (son) and Laura (daughter-in-law), Ryan (grandson) and Breeana (wife), and Nathan (grandson); Steven (son) and Jennifer (daughter-in-law), Kendall (grandson), and Kate (granddaughter); Diane (daughter) and Todd (grandson); and Cynthia (daughter) and Andy (son-in-law), Matthew (grandson), and Jacob (grandson). /p>

A Celebration of Life Service was held on April 6, 2024, at Advent Episcopal Church, Sun City West, AZ. /p>

Burial plans are pending. /p>

Condolences may be set to Charlotte at 13919 W. Gable Hill Drive, Sun City West, AZ  85375-5504. /p>

In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that donations in Gus's memory be sent to Advent Episcopal Church, 13150 W Spanish Garden Drive, Sun City West, AZ  85375 or the American Heart Association, PO Box 840692, Dallas, TX 75284-0692/p>

Gustav Henri Stiehl IV (Jack)

Gustav (Jack) passed away on Friday, February 2, 2024 in Sun City West. Jack was born in Chicago, IL on November 21, 1939 to parents Mike and Miriam Stiehl. He had one younger brother, Richard.

The family moved to Sacramento, CA when Jack was in the seventh grade. Jack received an appointment to West Point, after graduating from El Camino High School. He graduated from West Point in June, 1961. Jack served in the military for 21 years. He then spent 15 years with a company that contracted with the Defense Department.

Jack married Charlotte Arthur on March 31, 1990. They moved to Sun City West from Leesburg, FL in 2004. They joined Advent Church where Jack loved singing in the church choir.

Jack was preceded in death by his parents and younger brother. He is survived by his wife Charlotte and their children, and grandchildren.

Jack’s Celebration of Life service was held at Advent Church on Saturday, April 6. Donations may be made to Advent Church or the American Heart Association.
