It is with great regret and
sorrow that I must notify you of the death of our classmate, Tom Paskewitz, on
December 2, 2024, in Princeton, NJ as a result of Lewy body disease.
Tom is survived by his
wife, Barbara; their daughter, Mary Beth Bartlett and her husband, John; their
son, Mark; their grandchildren, Kira Borlenghi and her husband, Alex, and
Justina Hudgens and her husband, John; and their great grandchildren, Luca and
Jose.
Burial was on December 9,
2024 at the Washington Crossing National Cemetery, Newtown, PA.

Thomas Walter Paskewitz Obituary
August 26, 1939 - December 2, 2024
On December 2 the good Lord relieved Tom of his suffering. Tom
died in Princeton, NJ at the age of 85 years old. Cause of death
was Parkinsonism (Lewy body disease)
Born in Berwick PA to Betty and Walter Paskewitz, he was a
stellar student and all-state football player at Berwick High
School. He went on to the US Military Academy at West Point
graduating in 1961. As an army captain, he saw combat in Vietnam
as a member of the 101st Airborne Division, 5th Special Forces
Group (Green Beret).
Upon his return from active duty, he became a Special Agent of
the FBI where he served for 25 years in field offices including
Tampa FL, New York City, and Pittsburgh. He retired in Allison
Park PA spending winter months in Santa Barbara CA and Austin
TX.
Tom married his high school sweetheart Barbara (Uram) 63 years
ago on graduation day at the West Point chapel. They had two
children, Mary Beth (John) Bartlett of Austin TX and Dr. Mark
Paskewitz of Princeton NJ, grandchildren Kira (Alex) Borlenghi
of Austin TX, Justina (John) Hudgens of Hot Springs AR and two
great grandchildren Luca and Josie. Also surviving is his
sister-in-law, Gladys Mackay of Havertown PA along with several
nieces and nephews.
Preceding him in death are his parents and sister Betty Jean
Perko.
In retirement Tom served on the church council of Saint
Alexander Nevsky Orthodox Cathedral for 25 years as well as
volunteering with many community charities. He and Barbara
traveled extensively throughout the US, Canada, Mexico, and
Europe. He was a physical fitness buff actually enjoying
running, weight lifting, or any exercise as well as an avid
outdoorsman enjoying fishing and hunting and most of all hiking.
Visitation will be Saturday 12/7/24 from 10-11am at St.
Alexander Nevsky Orthodox Church, 8290 Thompson Run Road,
Allison Park, PA 15101 with services at 11am. The burial will be
held Monday 12/9/24 11am at the Washington Crossing National
Cemetery, Newtown, PA. Arrangements are by the Wilson-Apple
Funeral Home, Pennington. Condolences are welcome at
