Vita: |
Resigned from the Army in 1969; developed shopping centers in Dallas,
Houston, Los Angeles, and Fort Worth. Entered the oil & gas business in 1972. Bought, with partners, the oldest oil & gas
pipeline construction company in the U.S. Moved to Midland, TX, in 1980 and founded an oil & gas company, Buffton,
and took it public. Today it is an AMX stock called BFX, and I still serve on the board. Ran unsuccessfully for U.S. Congress in
1990 and again in 1996. Then, in 1998, I lost a statewide race for Texas Agriculture Commissioner. Presently I am the CEO of
Happy Mill, LLC., a real estate investment company. Current project is renovating a Fruit of the Loom mill opened in 1863 by
then President Abraham Lincoln to produce Union Army uniforms. The mill is located in Rhode Island and will become a hotel and
office complex. |
